Hi,

I'm trying to implement a policy to require certain length passwords for specific groups of users in AD. I have setup the group policy and set the security filtering to only allow the group PasswordRequired instead of authenticated users. I think link the GPO to the OU containing all the staff.

This isn't working!! I think the problem is that as the Password Policy section is in the computer configuration i need to link it to the computer OU not the staff one. I try that, however as the computers themselves arn't members of the PasswordRequired group it isn't allowing the application at logon due to the security filtering.

Any ideas?

Cheers in advance

Matt

The password policy is set at the domain level and is only effective there. I don't think you can have different policies for different users without creating a new domain for that group of users which would have a different password policy.
