When I add new people to a group policy and I have their "my documents" and "desktop" forwarded to a folder on the server it creates a folder with the correct name but doesn't add in all the files in fact it just seems to add in a load of .tmp files.

I had the same problem on a 2003 server machine and to get round it I had to delete the GPs and create new ones from scratch.

I don't really want to do this everytime I add someone to a policy is there something I have missed?

Thanks

How long are you waiting after creating the new user? You may just be rushing things before the account has had tome to replicate through AD.

I hope you find this post helpful.
