Ok, I inherited a big mess in my current job and I'm really scratching my head with all the mess the previous guys made...anyway...
I'm trying to figure out which gpo would cause my XP users to lose their default view settings in windows explorer. All clients are XP SP2 and we are using a SBS 2003 Premium edition, of course AD. Anyone know anything about this subject? I was assuming it is in the Windows explorer component. Here is the list that is enabled.
Policy Setting
Display confirmation dialog when deleting files -Enabled
Hide these specified drives in My Computer - Enabled
Pick one of the following combinations Restrict A, B and C drives only
Policy Setting
Hides the Manage item on the Windows Explorer context menu -Enabled
Prevent access to drives from My Computer - Enabled
Pick one of the following combinations Restrict A, B and C drives only
Policy Setting
Remove "Map Network Drive" and "Disconnect Network Drive" - Enabled
Remove CD Burning features - Enabled
Remove DFS tab - Enabled
Remove Hardware tab - Enabled
Remove Security tab - Enabled
Remove Shared Documents from My Computer - Enabled
Remove UI to change menu animation setting - Enabled
Removes the Folder Options menu item from the Tools menu - Enabled
Request credentials for network installations - Enabled
Turn off caching of thumbnail pictures - Enabled
I am unsure if any of these or not is the setting. Maybe it's elsewhere?
I thought maybe it was the DFS tab, but it doesn't seem like it. Thanks for the help.
