I am trying to run an .exe file in the logon script through active directory. The file I am running is a little script from trend micro to check for virus patterns. It is associated with a folder that holds the pattern. When I try to close the GP edit it tells me there is an error and asks me if I want to close or just ignore the error. After I added the file I click show files and nothing comes up. The executable wont run either. What is that error?

Just to be clear, you didn't put the .EXE file into the GPO, did you? If so, you should instead put a script into the GPO that calls the .EXE.
