Group policy results removing after log off

hi,

I have win 2000 server with AD, i have applied some proxy settings on one of my OU's with using group policy.

Even when particular user logged out from win 2000 pro PC , applied group policies are not removing and it will store in the local group policy.

Is there any tweak to remove the applied group policy settings upon log off.
