Can anyone help. I am trying to apply a set wallpaper to everyones desktop through group policy. It works fine on PC's but not on terminals.

I thought about setting it on each individual terminal and then stopping them from changing the desktop through GP's but when I have tested this it does not work. Am I missing something.

Thanks

Hi,

You'd be best NOT to have wall paper on Citrix, it can slow sessions down. It takes more resources and effort in redrawing the screen if it has a picture on rather than a standard colour.

If you really want to put a picture on, why not create it as the admin user then export that part of the registry and see if you can import it when the user logs on or, use PolEdit (I know it's the only program but does work - or did last time I messed with it) and set it there!

Cheers,
Carl.

ianglynn,

From what you described you may also want to check the Citrix Connection Configuration Advanced settings and make sure that User Profile Overrides doesn't have Disable Wallpaper checked if you are using MetaFrame XP.
