Has anyone installed this on their network? If so, is it useful to you. Can you recommend it?

Of course its installed part of my tool kit along with Exchange, DNS, ADC&U!

I use it in a virtual environemt to test my new policies then duplicate these in my live environment.

GPMC is essential if you're using GPOs. It should be installed on all DCs.

GPMC is the bomb and you can get the console for Xp machines so that you don't always have to rdp/ssh to dc's. Just use runas and pick a target machine from your personal box.

I've got a Windows Server 2003 64-bit edition. I take it from the article that I can't actually use it. I take it this is still the case.
