I have some very peculiar issues with my GPO's. There are 2 DC's in my site; when I log into the Forest Root DC and open GPMC to look at my GPO's I get the following error:
Windows Cannot find the network path. Verify that the network path is correct and the destination computer is not busy or turned off. If Windows still cannot find the network path, contact your administrator.
If I click on the Details tab I get information like this:
User Version: 27 (AD), Not available (sysvol)
Computer Version: 291 (AD), Not available (sysvol)
There are no errors in Event Viewer indicating any errors, and I have executed GPOTool.exe and everything comes back fine.

When I look at GPMC on my 2nd DC, everything comes up fine, same version numbers on the policies, the only thing that is different is that when I look at the Details tab I get this:
User Version: 27 (AD), 27 (sysvol)
Computer Version: 291 (AD), 291 (sysvol)

What do you think? I am going to be calling Microsoft tomorrow, but I figured I would see what you thought. Thanks.

Ok, so I figured out the problem...the root DC is dual-homed...the former admin added the second NIC to the DC so that he could pull up the SAN web interface...I simply changed the binding order of the NIC's and everything is good.
