Group policy for enable\start messenger service

Hi

Trying to do this simple thing, but having troubles.

Need to enable computers that log onto windows 2003 domain, to have the messenger service enabled and started, as by default windows has this service disabled.

Please advise...cheers

from your workstation, use group policy management console, edit the default domain policy or create a policy and an OU just for your workstations.
Drill down to Computer Configuration - Security Settings - System Services, and define the Messenger service as enabled.

Thanks , just had to add net start "messenger" to netlogon script to start the service, as the service was enabled but at stop status.

Hope this is right
