group policy fails events 1058 and 1030

Ran into this lil bugger. Event log keeps filling up on a domain controller with events 1058 and 1030. The KB article 830676 talks about running the tool dfsutil /purgemupcache as a temporary fix, which does fix it for the time being. Has anyone been able to find a permanant fix to this problem ??

Well, the mup, or mup.sys, is the Multiple UNC provider. That would be part of the DFS client I believe. So, I'd guess that the mupcache has some invalid or corrupt entries. When you get those errors on an XP client, you enable the DFSclient...
