Group Policy Editor Fais to Open

After upgrading to Small Business Server 2003 from Windows 2000 Server I cannot access group policies. When I click on Group Policy Managment in Server Manager, I get the error Group Policy Snap-in failed to initialize. In AD when I right-click on Domain Controllers and click the Group Plicy Tab, I get the error "Failed to find domain controller. There may be a policy that prevents you from selecting another domain controller. Details: The network path was not found." Does anyone know how to fix this?

Is the server pointing to itself for primary DNS?

I found this from another website that had the solution posted. You need to copy the file framedyn.dll from the current directory of %systemroot%\wbem\framedyn.dll to %systemroot%\system32

Then if you go to the environment settings check if the %systemroot%\system32;%systemroot%;%systemroot%\system32\wbem is located there if not add that line in.

Just in case you don't know %systemroot%=c:\winnt or c:\windows directory

You don't need to reboot and should work immediately. Good luck
