maybe more an xp question but ...

zapped on eof my boxes today - install xp that was a slipstreamed sp2 - cant get the group policy installed
just says you need .net

it had version 2 , so slap on 3 and then 3.5 as well but no joy

sp3 it and the same

anyone know any tweaks to get it - i assume before on any pc it's been a vanilla xp then an sp but who knows

i can just ts to another box if using it but - it bugs me

id try ripping .net framework out, then reinstalling, rather than upgrading on top of already known corrupt install...

sorry should have posted back

i had very 2 , 3 and 3.5 installed
gp management requires 1.1 installed

install that and it's fine
