Group Policy block streaming media

I have tried a policy which sets the proxy for Media Player to 127.0.0.1. No effect. If I set the proxy for Internet Explorer it works. Problem is the exception list would have to be HUGE.

Is there an easy way to disable all streaming media which does not kill Internet Explorer?
