Hi
I have set up in Administrative Template the GP settings that I want to apply to a group, how do I actually apply them to a group (yes I know its the missing link).
Any ideas/url redirections gratefully received.

hi ,

this is what we did ; we created a global security group with the same name as the created policy and added that "special"group to the "normal"group ( security - add ) , as a result the normal group has the special pollicy.

Hope this helps.

Thanks MVC
I may have overplayed my hand a little, what I am really seeking is an idiots guide to setting up a group policy for all of my users but split into several different groups so that I can control what appears on their desktops and what they can do with their pc's. I seem to be able to do everything except make it work (how many times have you all heard that one lol)
Any advise would be great.

hello again ,

same thing ! you create different policies ( example ; marketingPolicy , salesPolicy , managementPolicy , ... )
then you create global securit groups with the same name and
add these groups ( example the marketingPolicy-group ) to the Marketing-group. ( active directory users and computers - select marketing-group and add in "member off" the marketingPolicy-group )

Greetings , MVC
