I have created a database (in Access 2000) and included group security. The way I have one of my forms designed, the users (all of whom are assigned to a group, not Admin) should be able to modify one of the fields, but so far it isn't allowing the members of the group to modify it. The remainder of the form seems to be working properly when logged on as one of the members of the group. Everything - including this particular field - works perfectly when I'm logged on as Admin.
Currently, permissions for the form, the query upon which it is based, and the underlying table is ALL for the Admin account (naturally). For the users assigned to the group, the permissions are as follows: Form - Open/Run; Query - Read Design, Read data, Update data, Insert data; Table - Read design, Read data, Update data. In addition, in the form itself, the Properties for the field in question are set to Enabled: Yes, and Locked: No. What am I missing? The workgroup is the same one that we're using for an existing database, so permissions didn't have to be designed from the ground up. This should have worked!
