I was wondering if there is a way to create a shared PSF system using Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard?

What we would like is to install the software on a PC and set up some sort of shared watch directory. If someone saves a document (i.e. a MS Word File) to the directory we would like it to be converted to a PDF automatically.

I've been told this may be possible but I'm a little unsure of how it could be done!

I'm pretty sure that it's possible. You just set up watched folders in a central location and copy your PS files into the In folder. Seems to me that Distiller automatically creates the In and Out folders when you specify a location.

But I also think it may be a violation of the license. I don't think you're supposed to do that unless every person has their own copy of Acrobat.

I think there used to be something called Distiller Server (?) for that purpose, but I think it was expensive.
