group paging in IP phones - limited group size?

Good day all,

Is there a limiting factor that determines how many 4612 phones can be in a group for simultaneous paging through the phones?

We have seen phones lockup when having more phones in a group than there are VCMs in the system ( more than 20 phones in this case). Is this related?
