We have a huge Datamart that takes forever to retrieve all information, we decide to Group on Server and only display summarized results. It works fine if I create a report using the report designer.
Now I need to create the same reports using RDC, does anybody knows how to set the performGroupingOnServer option using RDC?

Thanks,
Luiz.

I'm not much of a VB guy, but if you already have a report written in CR that works fine, just import it into VB with the RDC.

Open a VB project, add the needed references and components, including the RDC, and then add the Crystal Report to teh project. All properties of the report should import with the report itself. Software Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

If you have the .DSR file open in the VB IDE, right-click on the Main Report panel on the left side of the IDE.

There will be menu choices for Database and Report. In two different places there is the option for "Perform Grouping on Server."

I forget to mention that these reports will be generated on a ASP page, not VB.(
