For each record in a table, either the *subtype1* field OR the *subtype2* field are populated, or else sometimes *neither field is populated*.
I want to group the records by "subtype" and get the data (when there is any) whether it is in either field.
How do I do this?
I am using Crystal Reports ver 8.
Thank you all for your help!

JonBartels: If you concatenate the 2 fields and group on that formula you'll get a response if either is populated. David C. Monks

As long as you don't have nulls or spaces as the 'not populated' values. Ken Hamady
