Hi,

I have a question about Group Hide Drilldown OK.

Crystal is the report writer for a business application.
I use Crystal Developer to write the reports and the application has a Crystal Runtime.

In Crystal developer I can hide a group and allow drill down.
Drilldown works when I preview the report.

When running the report using the runtime, drilldown does not work.
Tech support for this application told me that drilldown is a feature that is only available during report development.

Is this true? I thought it would be available to end users of the report.

Thanks,

Bruce

This doesn't sound correct. The drill-down is a built-in behavior of the Crystal runtime. Unless the developer decided to add custom code to BLOCL that behavior, by default the drill-down should behave just as it behaves in Crystal designer.

hth,
- Ido

view, export, burst, email, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Hi Ido,

I didn't think so either.
The application uses a runtime when a Crystal report is run by an end user.
Crystal XI R2 .NET 3.0 RunTime SP5

I'm assuming the runtime is limiting this feature but...
Their tech support is pretty limited for the application regarding Crystal & we can't talk directly to tech support for Business Objects.

Oh well. It's a nice feature but I guess I can live without it.

Thanks,

Bruce
