Group Header suppression in drill down?

I am using Crystal 8.5 and so cannot use the command drilldowngrouplevel() to suppress a group header/footer. There are a few solutions to hiding the group footer but none for the group header. Has anyone come up with a good idea to hide the group header?

Report goes :
Chart - Drill down into all applications in chart for 1 month
List of applications in chart - Drill Down in specific application
Chart - show a year of data for the application

The problem is on the last chart where it shows the data from the application for 1 month on top of the chart for the year.
