Hi,

I have a list of authors and the songs they have written. In a report each author's name is the Group header, and the books they have written are in the Detail section. The page is formatted to 2 columns.

The problem occurs when an author's name appears at the bottom of a column, and the books at the top of the next. Is there anyway to keep the Group header and detail together, so if a new page or column is needed, both appear at the top?

Sorry to have wasted your time on this one - about five minutes after posting the previous message I worked out how to do it!

For anyone looking to answer this question, the answer is as follows...

Open the Report properties, click on the Format tab and in Grp Keep Together select 'Per Column' or 'Per Page' depending on whether you want a new groupt to start each column or page.
