Hi,
I've got a hunt group set up (say 5350), but I want to set up the overflow destination as a group mail box (SeaMail)
I cannot get it to work and I'm kind of guessing how to do it.

I've got the departmental voice mail set up, lets call it voicebox number 200.
I set up the voicemail box so that the extention assocated with it was a public library number, say 4200.

I set up private library 4200 to be the VoiceMail port hunt group number.

I set up the overflow of the hunt group to 4200.

So my theory was the call flow was something like this:

Call comes into HG 5350, no one answers so it overflows to public library number 4200, which calls the Voice Mail hunt group. Voice mail sees it as 4200(?) which is associated with the group mailbox number 200.

Needless to say, this does not work.....any suggestions?

Cheers

What mailbox do you end up at? Or just the generic greeting?

I know with iCMC & uCMC that you just need to overflow to the VM pilot and the APDL sends the information that it comes from group 5350. As long as you have a mailbox 5350 then it works. I have a feeling SeaMail doesn't use an APDL.

But in saying that, using Pub.Libs also works. That's why I ask what mailbox you end up at. Ths will determine what is being sent to the VM - is it 4200, 5350 or nothing? Do you get an error ie 'that mailbox doesn't exist' or the generic 'you've reached the voicemail, please enter xtn num...'?

This is how I'd set it up....
1) HG 5350
2) Overflow 4200 (Public Library)
3) LIB 4200
-------------

NAME:
SHORT(5) - 200VM
FULL(16) - Mailbox_200
TOLL_OVERRIDE- Y
NAME_RETENTION_OVERRIDE- Y
PROTECTED- N
USER_CANNED_MESSAGE# (0-15/N) - NONE
TNNT_GRP - 0
PRIORITY_PREEMPTION_CALL- N
RSRVD_TO_BOSS_GROUP(#/N) - NONE
APPEND_TO_DIAL_NUMBER_AS_SUFFIX (0:None,1:ANI*DNIS*,2:DNIS*ANI*): - 0
DIAL NUM = 200
OUT TK = 4000 (VM pilot)

This will send digits 200 into the voicemail and play the greeting for mailbox 200.
