Group Field Selection Missing Specific Field

hi everyone - I'm working on a technical report that will be using all 10 multi group levels. I'm on the 9th level and for some reason I cannot find the field I need from the drop down list box (see picture attached). I checked the underlying query and the field is definitely part of the SQL query and also double checked as datasheet to make sure the end result did include data from this missing field (all good there).

Am I overlooking something obvious?? Any suggestions as to what to look for would be appreciated.

How are we to know the field that is missing. Is it a memo field?

I think you're on to something. I made this field a LONG TEXT. Thanks for pointing that out. Cheers!

You can't sort on a long text field. You can possibly create a new column that is the left 255 characters of the long text field.
