Group faxing through unified messaging

I know that you can send out a group fax by copying a fax that is in you vm box. But is there a way to send a fax using unified messaging. I know that I can send them to a fax machine # but can I send the fax to the dn of the group list. I can play around with it tomorrow, but was hoping that someone could give me some insight before I get to the customers sight.
