My report has two levels of sorting/grouping - Provenance and Series. The number of Series for each Provenance varies from none to many. If for a given Provenance it is none, then that Provenance and all its fields doesn't print. I'd like to see the Prov details regardless of whether there are any series.

I'm using Office 97, and the report is based on a 3-table query.

Help greatly appreciated.

You can't report on records which don't exist.
You need to change the join type in your query so that you get a record with every Provenance value. (Right click the join line and choose Join Properties)

Thanks for the help. It's working perfectly now. I'd completely forgotten about this in the months since I've had to work on it.
