Good morning:

I have creatde a file system report that shows how many files have been scanned into a directory. I am grouping by the file create date. Crystal gives me several options such as hour, half hour etc.. However, I need to group by 8 hour shifts. Does anyone have a formula that does this please? Thank you.

Something like
Code:
if {hour} in [6 thru 12] then "Shift 1"
else
if {hour} in [13 thru 20] then "Shift 2"
else "Shift 2"

Then group on the formula field.

It helps to give your Crystal version, since newer versions have extra options, and some extra problems. I use Crystal 8.5
