Group calling ?

My customers calling group is set to group ring and occasionally someone forgets to log out and if they are the only one available the phone just rings and rings. Would group type make any difference or log the user out because they are not answering??

I thought that group ring has no coverage point. So a call to the group would ring all members until answered or the caller hangs up but not cover to any other group or to vm.

You could set the group to auto log out which will log out a user if they do not answer then put the call back into hunt however they will have to log themselves back into the group.

I The group is definately set to Auto Logout and unfortunately I am not able to get on site. mI looked at the feature reference under Group Calling and it does say
When the group type is set to Auto Logout (the factory setting) and a call sent to a Calling Group
member is not answered within 30 seconds (5 rings), the call is sent to another member or to the
front of the queue if another Calling Group member is not available. The system automatically logs
out the extension where the call went unanswered and makes it unavailable for subsequent calls
until the Calling Group member logs in.
This sounds more like a call is going to a single member and not set up for group ring
Any thoughts??

Auto Logout does not apply to Group Ring groups. Unless you give everyone a button, and make them log out, the group will never go to voicemail.

How many extensions? Could you make do by making a phantom adjunct and coverage buttons on the phones?
