Group Calling ?

I have an Auto Attd with the 0 option going to a calling group- If I call the group the phones ring (group ring) but if I press 0 from the AA the call goes directly to the mailbox for the calling group. Any ideas or suggestions??

Well - it depends on how you have set the Group Type and Hunt Type in voicemail for your group. The default for Hunt Type is "circular" and the default for Hunt Type is "autologout" - meaning all group members are assumed to be logged out - unless they specifically log into the group. My guess is your group is set to autologout - meaning noone is logged-in - so the calls will go to the group's mailbox - assuming one is set up.

So - either make the Group Type "autologin" or put log-in buttons on each group member's phone - and make them log in and log out.

Hi Tom,
I have the group set to auto login. When I call the group all of the phones ring but don't when I press 0 from the auto attd- I set the 0 option to transfer to x771.
 
Check the "phone status" of the mailbox you set-up for ext 771. My guess is that you have it set to "no phone". If so - from the AA it will not ring the group - but go to the mailbox for 771. Since the group's Hunt type is set to "group ring" - it is ineligible for voicemail coverage anyway - so the mailbox is unnecessary. Either delete it or change the phone status - to "has a phone".

Hi Tom- That is exactly what I did- set the mailbox to no phone- I will change it & see what happens. Thanks for your help- It's always good to bounce issues off of someone else!!
