I have a site that I set up voicemail for a calling group. The group is 771.
I assigned overflow to group 770
I set number based overflow to 99
I set time based overflow to 20 seconds
I set prompt based overflow to no
The ring type for the group is group ring

Now when you call the group it goes immediately to voicemail.
I went in and REMOVED the overflow to 770
But still when you call that group it is answered by the voicemail system.
How is voicemail getting the call if I have removed the overflow coverage to 770?

Thanks in advance

Todd

Well, I found the problem after browsing through other Tek-Tips posts.
The calls were still going to the mailbox because I had set the mailbox to have "no phone". I was placing the calls through the auto attendant so they weren't even being transfered out of the voicemail system.
So, to get the desired effect I will be setting up an unused extension number with coverage buttons on the phones of the people who need to get the calls.

Thanks to all the previous posts that helped me find the answers.
