Group appears done, but something is still running

I have a large file server, with several (10 or so) different save sets running. For its first full backup, which ran last weekend, it seems as though all the save sets finished, in around 13 hours, but for some reason the client job continued to run for another 4 days. If I looked in the sessions area, it showed 1 set still running, very slowly, but in the Monitor Groups, when looking at its group it showed everything either Done or failed.

Any ideas why this might be?

No idea.

Check whether all save set sizes and file numbers make sense. Then restart the NW client service.

How many files are on the server/volume of the saveset that is running very slowly? I've seen this exact issue on savesets that hit a volume that exceeds 16M files.

I've some problems like that under AIX 5.2 and NW 7.3.2 build 399 (with some nsrjobd cores)...

We get this kind of thing occassionally. Quite iften it's just "one of those things" and a restart of networker seems to sort it out.
