I have a strange situation. I have a grid with 14 columns. The caption for the header on column 12 is black. I've defined each header caption individually. The caption for this header is "Skills and Other Organizations". I have wraptext = .T. and I've sized out the column so that it should fit. Here's the other kicker, I compiled the program into an exe and sent it to five other people, two could see the header, the rest couldn't. I'm using FoxPro 9.1 on XP service pack 2. Thanks for your help as always.

Possibly a Themes issue.

You could try setting _SCREEN.Themes to .F. in your main program. See if that has any effect.

Failing that, try to work out what is different between the two who could see the header and the three who couldn't. Again, it could be because some of them are using XP themes and others aren't.

Thanks for the thought. It didn't work though. The weird thing is that all the other captions are completely visible. It's just this one.

Just to figure out what's going on, try using the View Code option from the Class Browser and compare the code for the problem header to the others.

YES!!! Thank you Thank you for that tip! I would never have thought to do that. And I don't know why I didn't see the problem when I was comparing things in the property window, but for some reason, the backcolor had been changed to 0,0,0. Now it works. The still strange thing is that in the form design window I could see it no problem, it was only when I ran the program that it turned to black.

Thank you again!
