I cannot access attachments in an email sent to me. I have Outlook express v.6 and the attachments are greyed out.

Probably were blocked due to Microsoft knowing you didn't understand they could be harmful and protecting you.

Tools ->options. On the security tab uncheck the box that says, "Do not allow attachments...". Click Apply, then OK.
