Grey screen when opening reports from code

I have written a multi-user database that is used on a network. There a numerous reports which can be opened from forms by clicking on labels. I have used code to automate the process but on occasion, the reports don`t appear and I have to close the "grey screen" that appears. If I try the report again straight away, it appears fine. Is this a network speed/capacity issue or is it something to do with my coding. Has anyone else had this problem?
