Hi

I have a customer who has exchange 2003 and constantly has problems with being greylisted. The mail server is on a sbs 2003 server and is configured to to use the Isp smtp server for outgoing mail.A reverse dns record was created for the customers e mail server over a year ago.Has anyone any ideas on why this is happening and what i can do to resolve it?.Many thanks for taking the time to read this.

Greylisting isn't really a bad thing. If the server is properly configured, then mail will eventually get to the intended recipient.

Is mail bouncing back?

Hi Pat

The message says that you do not have permission to send e post to this receiver. Recipient address rejected: Policy rejection greylisted, try again later. My customer confirmed that the mail was not recieved. To be honest, i dont what to do with this. The customers sbs 2003 server runs Trend-Micro 3.6 and even after setting the spam filters etc to the highest setting, Many of the employees receive a lot of spam everyday in their inboxs. Any suggestions will be gratefully received!
