We have two units at two different locations. At location two for some reason user's greetings get erased all except for a few people. When they try to rerecord it prompts for a password which no matter what I change it to it doesn't take.

Also, the main problem is that when people call extensions and try to leave a message they get "Welcome to IP Office..please dial extension and password." WTF????

This happened just from one day to the next! Any ideas?

Computers are like Air conditioners:-
Both stop working when you open Windows

We rebooted vmpro, and everything came back. Why this is happening I have no idea. It'll be fine now and a few weeks later it'll start up.

Sounds like an SCN with multiple VM Pro servers to me :)

Not happy with Avaya ATM....

We have two sites and one vmpro at the main site. Site #2 uses vmpro at the main site. But the main site wasn't affected. It was just the second site, and a few users were left unaffected by the issue. It's kind of odd, really.

To avoid losing all greetings, recordings, wav files you can copy the VM folder out of the Program Files/Avaya/IPOffice/Voicemail Pro/ directory and add to your system back up/folder of a config and vmpro call flows and extract to flash drive or external media.

This may be redundant or an obvious process to follow, but I just wanted to share it with you. For each IPO customer I work on, I provide them with a similar set of back up files periodically.

The current verdion of vmpro can do automatically backups.
Press f9 and go to housekeeping and configure the backups.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

It is :)
It can do daily, weekly and monthly backups.
Also an immediate backup can be done if you want have one straight away.

Site 2 is just a few months old, but what a pain it is. I think the office was like a demon shop before we moved in because the strangest things happen on their equipment.
