I have a Small Office Edition with VM-lite or alternatively an embedded VM card.
I want callers to receive a welcome message while phones are ringing. The queue message on VM-lite only starts when all phones are busy, and in the automated attendant you have to press a number to access the hunt group.
Are there anyone who has programmed something like this?

welcome message could only be achived with VM pro, if I remember correctly...

Thank you for your quick answer.

I have tried one solution, but I'm not satisfied with it because it take some time before the phones are ringing.

I set the incomming call route to an empty Hunt group. Then the queue message for that group acts as a welcome message. The problem is that no phones are ringing until the call goes to the overflow group. If no phones are ansvering in the overflow group the call goes back to the first hunt group and the message is repeated.

Quick side note - there is no queue facility on the embedded VM.

Also, what you need is an auto-attendant - a VMPro only option I'm afraid (the embedded one is ok for small SoHo type offices - as that is what is was made for - but not much good to use in a 'serious' environment).

The embedded in V3 (ip406v2) is supposed to be better - but time will tell...

cheers
