How do you block the option to recod a greeting in a listen only mailbox?

What is it you are trying to achieve ? Do you just want the caller to hear the message but the system is playing more? You can't really block it and i have not tried blocking it in the COS. It may work not sure.

Let me know what you want it to do and i am sure it can be done.

We have a octel 350.

We have a listen only mailbox that one of our end users updates daily by sending a message to the mailbox. But sometimes they record the message in the greeting and when you call the mailbox you here the greeting but then you have no messages. We are just trying to keep the end user from updating the greeting.

Change the password to the listen only mailbox, then the end user can't login to record the greeting. As an extra security measure, set up a contributors list, and only allow the mailbox of the user who records the messages as the contributor.

You may want to try a cos that does not allow personal greetings it may or may work.

Thanks for the help

Will give the COS a try.
We have the contributers list set up for it.
The problem is the end user does not always follow the instrictions for sending a message to the box.
