I'm editing a small magazine on a Mac using Indesign CS2. Our freelance designer who is working from home has CS1. I'm using Interchange to save files for her as .inx She's downloaded the patch to enable her to open .inx files but when she opens them the pics are all greeked. Any tips on how we can exchange these files without having to import pics again each time?
Thanks

Are the pics embedded or linked? If linked, try packaging the indesign (inx) before sending.

I've really never seen greeked pics. Are the pics actually showing lines running across the area, or are they showing something else. If it's showing a gray box, the designer might have the display performance set to "optimized". Check the View menu/display performance and try high qulaity for full view.

Lastly, the indesign patch, should be dated April 05. There used to be 2 updates on the Adobe site for 3. Now, it's only the April 05 one.
