Hi:
I have records for a renter's renewal options. From my SQL query I get
lease term offer rental rate
1 month renewal $1200
2 month renewal $950
6 month renewal $700
etc.

I also have the current rent the person is paying and whether they are already on a month to month lease.
For sake of argument here the current rent would be $1300 and they are already month to month

I need to create a formula field that would display either the 1 month rate or the current rate depending on which one is greater for the one month lease option that prints on the letter. I'm not sure how to do this.

I am currently grouping based on lease term and I have a specific group section that shows based on whether the term is 1 month or not. I want to put this formula field into that section.

Create a formula like this:

if {table.leaseterm}= "1 Month" then
maximum([{table.rentalrate},{table.currentrent}])
