I have been working on a project for a service organization that chose Great Plains as their accounting software and Wennsoft as ther Service Order (Job Costing, Service Ordering and Dispatch) software. In doing my own research I found out that there is at least one post-implementation challenge with the integration between the two applications. In a nutshell, there is no GL posting date in the WIP transactions, so reconciliation back to Great Plains GL becomes a headache, especially if you are spanning more than one month. This begs the question - are they anymore implementation or post implementation challenges out there that we may not discover until it's too late. Any feedback or contributions as to where I should look for this information is greatly appreciated.
