Great Plains client install

I'm having issues setting up a great plains dynamics user. I click on the shortcut and get a Dexterity Runtime You do not have permission to open this file error. Help?

DO you have any modified reports or forms (check Dynamics.set file for location, then look for the reports.dic or forms.dic). I've also seen this error if there is a cnk file it's trying to include, which is setup as read-only.

sounds like dynamics was installed under the administrator account.

go into the directory and check permissions on the directory...

you can set the user to be a local power user if you don't want to muck with permissions.

Alternatively uninstal GP and re-install using the users' account.
