We are running GPA (dos)--ver. 8 with the Applied Mgmt. Systems Cash-Basis add-on program. both are discontinued by the respective manufacturers for tech support.
It's generally been stable for years & allows us to do cash-basis accounting, which Dynamics won't do (not interested in debating cash v. accrual). However, things got wacky after we tried to create a new company. Since then, we can't access the cash-basis AMS menu -- we get a message that says "invalid menu option found -- sy0004".
We restored the entire database (a version before creating the new company folder) & using the main operator's password we can access AMS, but can't using the MASTER password. Also, if we stick with the restore, we'll have to recreate 2 days' data -- not a tragedy, but we'd like to find support for this version of GPA and the cash-basis add-on.
If anyone knows GPA8 for dos or know of any vendor out there who still provides support -- please let me know.
