We're using Great Plains 9 with the Encumbrance Management module. An example of the issue: our purchaser creates a PO for $5000. The department budget is $10,000 and this new $5000 PO would take the department over budget. EM should warn the purchaser at that point that this new PO exceeds the existing budget. It does not provide that warning.
MS has had us test this with multiple users, including someone logged on to Windows with local Admin privs and logged into GP with SA privs. Same thing occurs.
The only time you see the warning is when you go to edit an existing PO (add a new line item)... it suddenly generates the warning. Unfortunately, it generates the warning on POs against budgets that have enough funds to cover the PO as well as against budgets that do not have enough funds to cover the PO.
Anyone else have experience with this?
