Great Plains 6.0 changing my data

We operate Great Plains 6.0 on Pervasive and we are starting to have problems with data, in particular ItemType, changing on certain items. It is currently only happening on items we classify as Service and they change to Discontinued. We are unable to change them back through Great Plains and have to go directly to the tables.
Does anyone know why this might be happening. It's really getting old changing them back every few days.

This is not an issue that I ever recall hearing about before, so I would doubt that it is a bug. Based on what you have described I would suspect one or both of the following:

1. Users are making these changes manually for some reason.
2. There is a customization or automated job that is running that causes this behavior in a particular set of circumstances.
