Great Plains 5.0 and posting from Subsidiary ledgers to GL

We have Great Plains 5.0 the person that knew the program is no longer with us. We are trying to figure out how to post from A/R, A/P. After this we plan to upgrade. We are in the process of getting new hardware etc. However, we have not posted to the G/L Since March. I searched the manuals and the help files in the program. Searched the Internet and not finding any good help.
