great arp problem?

hi,

I use the pix firewall with version 4.5 without problem.

but when I upgrade to 6.1(1), I've got many arp problems in the dmz(some hosts can't ping other hosts in the same dmz, cause they find that the MAC address of the pix is the same as their MAC address).

when I tried the sysopt noproxyarp , it work fine, but I got another problem in the inside perimeter(the inside hosts can't reach dmz host)


what is this strange problem?

Also if you post your PIX configuration and network diagram (IP and location of servers) it can help asisting you.

Have you verified that your PIX hardware has the requirements for ver 6.1?

Have you tried upgrading to ver 6.0 or 5.3 instead?
maybe a problem with the specific version you have.
