I have this working fine but I want to modify it just a tiny bit as the current result is not quite realistic. As we all know, when you dorp something, it does not usually bounce in one place. All I want is for the ball to bounce to the left or the right a little.

The process I'm working on right now involves doing this with about 30 small balls so you get the effect of dropping a bunch of BB's and they go all over the place. Think like that scene in the Matrix where all the bullets fall out of the air at the end.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

By the way, I was thinking of a couple of solutions that might trigger an idea from you all. One wold be to have the ball have a horizontal velocity from the moment it starts or that contact with the floor causes a movement. I'm not looking for true realism here, just something other than straight drop and bounce.

Perhaps the balls can be made aware of each other and that will cause the movement. I have so much actionscript to learn it's insane. lol
