Graphs on Report Totals

I have produced a report in CR that show several clients and their monthly transactional volumes. Above the data I have placed a graph to show the transactional volume and that works fine. However I stuck another graph in the report header, wanting to show the transactional volumes for all the clients each month, and it has gone a little funny.

The resulting graph line and trend are in proportion and the x axis is fine but the y axis, showing the transactional volumes, is such that the report shows a range for the sum of the transactions for the year 0 - 170,000. I need it to show the volumes for each month, they do not exceed 50000 for any one month.

Basically the range is 0 - 170,000 (170,000 being the total transactions for a year) when i need it to show the monthyl transactions which currently have a range of 0 - 50,000. The graphs is set up to it changes at each month and teh volumes are calculated by

count(transdatetime, client)

I have tried the following as well with no luck

count(transdatetime)

Any help would be appreciated
