Ok i recently came into possesion of a pc , it looked nice and every thing the specs are
as follows
Amd processor not exactly sure
K7vt6 mobo
256 mb ram
geforce mx 4000
40 gig hard drive ,

anyway explaining the problem i put the gfx card in and whenever i boot the pc it says no signal found and there isnt a onboard video card help ? the jumper settings are correct i think im just stumped
please help?

Either the Gfx card doesn't work, or the slot in the motherboard doesn't work.

Also unlikely as it may be, can the motherboard support the card's interface? (The Motherboards slot might be AGP 4 and the card is AGP 8 only).

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

K7VT6, Asrock? is compatible with an MX4000 Nvidia graphics card.
No jumpers to set.
No video signal is likely a faulty graphics card but as you say this unit has only just come into your posession then I will also include the possibility of a faulty power supply, dead CPU or even motherboard.
Have you ever had this system booted into Windows?
Can you hear the hard drive booting and the HDD activity light flashing as though it is booting but without video output?
